Foxy Shazam // Asbury Park, NJ
Tom Whaley / March 2nd, 2026
I had the pleasure of shooting Foxy Shazam live at the House of Independents in Asbury Park, New Jersey on February 26th, 2026. I used a Sony A7R V with a Sigma 24-70 F/2.8 DG DN II Art lens and a Sigma 16-28mm F2.8 DG DN Contemporary lens.

From the second the band hit the stage, lead singer Eric Nally was diving onto the floor, Sky White was climbing all over his keyboard, and the rest of the band was matching that fiery energy as they ripped through an 18-song setlist without ever lifting their foot off the gas.
I smiled throughout this show more times than I can count. From having Sky White’s keyboard being put on top of my head, to seeing guitarist Devin Williams take off his jacket while balancing his guitar in the air with his teeth, while Eric Nally wears drummer Teddy Aitkins’ crash cymbal as a hat and crawls all over the floor like an animal, this show was pure rock and roll energy. In a time where few very things feel authentic, this band isn’t doing it for the ‘gram. They’re doing it because this is their truth. The Church of Rock and Roll remains open, and Foxy Shazam are the preachers.
